Being in our gothic horse stables the magic of history catches up with you. You should just lean back and enjoy, we take care that you are well served. The gothic hall dates back to 1600 and was used as horse stable. Nowadays the hall is an extraordinary place to accomodate wedding parties, exhibitions, concerts etc.

We coordinate the main event, representatives from the shooting society will guide you, they provide rifles and appropriate amunition at a cost. We can organize a handpainted target plate displaying your special theme and will serve food and drinks at the shooting lodge.

We are part of an active rural village and operate a cattle farm since more than 20 years. Our cattle is able to move freely all year round.
During the summer the cattle is at our alpine meadows close to Fusch at the Großglocknerstraße, during the winter at our stables with permanent access to the outside.
The annual return from the alpine meadows is usually celebrated in September. Together with locals and guests we welcome our cattle back home again.
Right behind our house, half way up to the „Schwalbenwand“ (1900m) you are welcome at the „Kammeregg Alm“ (1500m) to stop for a break; food and drinks available.
It is an easy hike up on well kept hiking paths and you will be remunerated with spectacular views onto the Pinzgauer mountains.

At Schloss Kammer the „small“ are the real „big“ ones. At the main house you find a large play room.
However, the real adventures you find outside in nature, all around Schloss Kammer.
The „Kammerer Badstub’n“ - a special alpine sauna area: sauna, hot-stone steam-room, infra-red cabinet, fresh spring water and direct access to our private gardens, relaxing in farmers beds.
Following our credo to preserve valuable traditions and to convince with modern aminities we have revived an old alpine bathing tradition. The „Kammerer Badstub’n“ is a newly built annex, using old beams and local stones fitting in smoothly into the traditional architecture of our house
Behind the castle, well protected by a large stone wall you find the private gardens „Herrengarten“. The name originates from times, when the village vicar was still living at Schloss Kammer and walking through the garden from his lodge to the chapel. At hot summer days the natural swimming pond with its man-made grotto is the perfect refreshment!

Tradition plays an important role at Schloss Kammer, especially when it comes to food. Our focus is on specialities from the region. We use fresh local products, eg. meat from our organic farm, herbs from our garden, game from local woods. A special tipp are „Pinzgauer Kasnock’n“ served in a pan or a special sweet, „Salzburger Nockerl“…
Schloss Kammer is the right place for many events; a quick stop for a beer only, or a traditional dinner or a lavish party. You can feel the „Gemütlichkeit“ both inside and outside the house. Just relax and enjoy the views.
Each last Thursday of a month local musicians meet up at Schloss Kammer to play and sing together. Our restaurant guests can listen to local music and are invited to join in.
Situated next to Schloss Kammer a 300years old farm house was converted into apartments for 2-6 persons. Guests staying at the „Bauernhaus“ may use the alpine sauna in the main house for free.
